Democrats must use their power to cancel student debt, either by legislation or executive action. Congress already granted Joe Biden and the Secretary of Education the authority to cancel all federal student debt.
Cancelling all student debt will EASE THE PAIN CAUSED BY COVID and NARROW THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP.

When student debt hit $1 trillion in 2011, we demanded debt abolition and free public college. They laughed at us. In 2014, we organized the nation’s first student debtors’ union. That union has won over $1 billion in student debt abolition, changed federal law, and inspired College for All.
They’re not laughing anymore. Today, student debt stands at $1.7 trillion dollars. The Debt Collective, a union of debtors united together to exercise our collective power, is coming for all of it.
